"The title," Are You Listening" for this painting of the chickadee on the sleigh bells came about because the sleigh bells are swinging slightly when the bird landed making them ring. If you were to remember the song, "sleigh bells ring, are you listening....it's the result of the movement that I was thinking of for this title. The chickadee is one of the most popular of songbirds, admired for its cheery disposition, high energy acrobats, and friendliness. I've tamed them to my hand for seed on occasion and I could hardly feel that tiny bit of fluff land. Did he just enter my world--or did I enter his?
